The bathroom is generally the smallest room in the house. How on earth do you keep it organized? There are many items that need to be stored in the bathroom, cleaning supplies? Toilet paper? The scales? Soaps? Bath toys? towels? It might not seem a lot but when trying to put everything into, what is already a small room it can be difficult.
Here are tips and tricks on how to find the nooks and crannies:

For the bathroom, may be a sliding door is an option, so you don’t need to worry about having the space to open the door inside the room.
Like any door in the house, you can hang things on the back. Whether you are hanging hooks for towels or hanging pockets to store soap bottles, hair drier, hair brush or hair ties.
Sinks:
- Install a corner sink, using the corner space is vital. Don’t let the corners go to waste.
- Having a floating sink, gives you the option to put a cabinet underneath for storage.
- Having soft edges can help ease the space in the bathroom and no one has to worry about getting hurt on the corners.
- Have the faucet hanging from the wall.
- Even if you have space to put 2 small sinks, put 1 sink therefore you have more surface space to keep things.
- Instead of having a regular sink with cabinet doors, have a sink without doors, would this give your bathroom the illusion there is more space?
Perhaps, have a toothbrush holder not next to the sink but hanging on the wall.

Showers:
- Using the corner for a shower can help use up the corner spaces.
- Using a shower curtain might be better than using a glass door on the shower, when not in use you can have it open, giving the illusion there is more space.
- Having sliding doors, so as not to worry about having the space to open the doors is a great option.
- Have a shower caddy, the little metal shelves hanging in the shower unit to store your shampoo and conditioner.

For those families with young kids who might want a bathtub, how about a ¾ tub? Making it easier to bathe your kids at a young age.
TIP: Moms with boys, having a floating toilet or wall mounted toilet (image) makes cleaning those misses much easier.
Mirror:
- Get a nice size mirror, mirrors make the illusion the room is bigger.
- Buy a mirror that has a cabinet behind, giving you more space to store medicine, creams and bath soaps etc.
- Don’t make the frame of the mirror to big or bulky looking, give the mirror a nice simple frame, a bulky frame will give the bathroom an overcrowded look.

Towel Racks:
- Have floating shelves around the bathroom.
- Have hooks behind the door

Put shelves behind the toilet, giving you the option to put cleaning supplies high up or use these shelves for bath towels. Could you put in built-in shelves?
Have a small thin space? Not sure what to put there? Perhaps a thin rustic ladder to use as a towel rack.
Hide your bathroom garbage in a cabinet.
Remember, don’t buy furniture that doesn’t fit the space.
Also remember to choose light
