There are many different colors and each one has many different shades. Colors can be split into two groups. Warm and Cold colors, the colder colors we have discussed in a different blog. However to know what are the warm colors, then read on. Warm colors would be colors such as yellow, or orange, or red. As seen on the color wheel the warm colors are to the right and the colder colors are to the left.
What will warm colors do to a room? They will give it a bright and sunny look. Every time you walk into that room you feel like you have entered a bright and sunny day. You’ll have that nice warm feeling, like being on the beach. Who doesn’t love the beach? A warm color paint can give a room of a warm and inviting feeling. They can also brighten up a dark room. For those rooms that might not have a lot of natural light, might appear brighter when painted with a warmer color.
However, you might find these colors very bright and might not want to paint the entire room in one of these colors. Then there are other options, for example, choosing one wall to paint in a bright and funky color. Leaving the other walls a more neutral color. Another option is to paint the room a lighter color, then add bright color cushions or other accessories to the room.
At the end of the day, it is your room in your house! You need to love it. So choose the colors that you will love! Whether it is a warmer color or a cold color!
