How To Choose Grout?

Well, the first question to ask, is what is grout? It is a dense fluid that is used to fill gaps or as reinforcement on existing structures. It is generally a mixture of sand, cement, and water. This is what we use to fill in the gaps between the tiles. These tiles are all around your house, from the floor in the kitchen or the bathroom to the tiles on the backsplash in the kitchen to the tiles in the shower unit. Grout is used in many places.

Once you have chosen the colors of your tiles, you’ll need to choose the color of the grout. This can be an extremely tricky process. The grout does not have to be the exact same color as the tile, because they can be very hard to match.

You don’t have to choose a darker color grout because you chose light-colored tiles and vice versa. What color you choose is up to you. However, if you decide to go for a different kind of shaped tile, like a diamond shape, a darker color grout will help accentuate the shape of the tiles. If you wish for the tile to be the focal point in the room using the opposite color of the tile will help. For example, using light-colored tiles you should use dark grout and vice versa.

Everyone likes a clean house right? This might mean you choose the dark color grout, which will not show the dirt. However, over a period of time the color will slowly fade, black will become grey. With lighter colors, although they will not fade, they do show the dirt.
